Brothers and Sisters with

Different Mothers

12 Mothers

16 Children

One Man

What really happens after the DNA test results come back and family secrets are revealed?

12 families, 16 children face dark truths about their parentage and the living biological father at the heart of their stories.

“On the cusp of 64 years old, I spit into a tube to find out who I am, what I might die from and if I truly was an only child, alone.”

This is not a story of sperm donation.

THEORY OF SALES

First born Michael has stepped into the deep-end of the truths that are revealed when he opens the Pandora’s Box of DNA testing. While there are at least 16 known siblings, seven of them grapple with the common thread of tragedy and mystery caused by their father, the charismatic Ted. As they unearth answers to their pasts, they face profound questions about family and the battle of nature vs. nature.

The center to the siblings' stories is Ted, an admitted Confidence Man and Casanova, who romanced women and fathered children for two decades and  just walked away.

At 86 years old, Ted has no remorse. His force of personality is a conundrum to Michael and his newly discovered siblings. They have managed to lead productive lives despite the trail of destruction that Ted has left them and their mothers. Comparing their lives, the self-named "Tedpoles" look to each other to see what traits, good and bad, Ted has passed on to them.
